Mandatory Appearance

Mandatory Appearance Citations mean that you must personally attend a County Court Hearing and appear before a Judge. There are 2 types of Mandatory Citations: Serious Infractions and Criminal Charges.

FAQ

01 Will I have to go to court?
We appear for you. You will not be required to go to court or to testify in court.
02 Will I receive points?
Points on your Drivers License are for Convictions ONLY. If the Conviction is Withheld or the citation is Dismissed, NO points will appear.
03 Can I take driving school?
You must be Eligible to take driving school. If you are not eligible to take the class then you will not receive a withhold upon completion. Certain offenses don’t allow electing driving school and there are several levels of classes needed depending on the offense. Call my office for a complete analysis.
04 I drive for work, will that affect me?
Yes. If your employer has guidelines for Citations by employees policy. Fleet delivery drivers typically have the strictest policies. And, we can work with you to ensure the outcome will not effect your employment.
05 I have a CDL (Commercial Drivers License) will I get the points?
Federal law mandates that points be assed for CDL infractions. However, many options exist through Motions and Legal Defenses that may allow the citation to be modified, amended or dismissed.
06 I had an accident, where do I start?
